Founded in the vibrant heart of Rylands Cape Town at the Habibia Primary School grounds, Habibia Archery Club has been a beacon of tradition and inclusivity in the world of archery since 2016. Our club is not only dedicated to the sport but also to embracing the cultural significance of archery.
Under the inspiring guidance of our founder, Jehad Shamis, the grandson of the esteemed Imaam Abdullah Haron, we are committed to reviving the historical Sunnah of Archery. At Habibia Archery Club, we believe that this ancient practice is more than just a sport; it’s a heritage that enriches our community.

Discover Archery with Us
Whether you’re a novice eager to learn or an intermediate archer looking to hone your skills, Habibia Archery Club is your go-to place. Our regular beginners’ classes are conducted on the verdant expanse of the Habibia Primary School field, a welcoming space for all newcomers.
For those past the initial steps, our intermediate classes are available on Tuesday evenings. These sessions welcome both males and females and are hosted in the accommodating Habibia Soofie Masjid hall.
Community and Charity at the Heart
Commitment to societal contribution forms the core of Habibia Archery Club. We’ve proudly partnered with Islamic Relief during Charity Week, a noble initiative geared towards raising funds for orphans around the world. Moreover, our community outreach programs are ceaselessly working to support the underprivileged, underlining our dedication to social welfare.
