What is Habibia Archery Club?

Habibia Archery Club is a non-profit community archery club focused on reviving the Sunnah of archery through structured training, safe practice, and community engagement. We offer courses, membership access, and coaching in archery for all levels.

Who can join?

Anyone aged 10 and up can participate — from complete beginners to archers looking to improve their skills. We welcome people of all abilities and backgrounds.

Do I need experience or my own gear to start?

No. Beginners don’t need any experience or equipment. All essential gear is provided during our courses, and we recommend completing a beginner course before buying your own equipment so you understand what suits you best.

How do I register for a course?

You can register and pay for a course through the website. Once payment is made, you’ll receive an indemnity form that must be signed and returned. After that, your spot is confirmed.

What should I bring to a course?

Come in closed shoes, comfortable clothing (preferably long sleeves and pants/skirts), and bring water, sunblock, and a hat if outdoors.

How long are the archery courses?

Courses vary — typically 1-day, 2-day, or 3-day options are available. Most members complete a full 3-day course which then makes them eligible for membership.

Do I need to complete a course before I can become a member?

Yes. Course completion is required before membership so that all members have basic safety training and archery understanding.

What are the membership options and benefits?

We offer several membership levels:

  • Gold Membership – Annual access with unlimited sessions, priority booking and discounts (R500; R400 under 18).
  • Silver Membership – Annual access

with discounted session rates (R200).

  • Non-Member Access – Pay-per-session option (R50).

Members enjoy use of the range, equipment on shooting days, special events and community support.

  1. What happens if I can’t attend a course I’ve booked?

Payments must be made at least 3 days before the course. If you cancel after payment, you may request a full refund — just ask via contact form or WhatsApp.

Is archery safe?

Yes. Safety is central to every session. Sessions are run by certified instructors with clear range rules, safety briefings, and supervision

Can I attend sessions without being a member?

Yes. Non-members can attend and shoot at the club for a per-session rate. That’s a great way to try it out before committing.

Where do sessions take place?

Most beginners’ courses and main range activities are held at Habibia Primary School grounds, with some intermediate sessions at the Habibia Soofie Masjid hall.

Are females welcome to train?

Absolutely. All genders are welcome, and sessions are structured in a respectful, inclusive environment.

Do you offer private or group bookings?

Yes. We provide private courses and group experiences for schools, community groups or special events — reach out through the contact page for details.

What affiliations does the club have?

Habibia Archery Club is a registered Non-Profit Company and is affiliated with the Western Cape Archery Federation and the South African National Archery Association (SANAA), the national governing body for archery in South Africa.

How do I contact the club if I have other questions?

You can reach out by filling in the contact form on the site, emailing info@haclub.co.za, or tapping the WhatsApp contact button on the website
